Wed, 19 Feb 2025 From circuit boards to space missions! When Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) was founded in 1985, Andy Baird was at the start of his career, working as an electronic engineer designing printed circuit boards for military simulation products. As Andy honed his skills and transitioned to international sales, SSTL was also evolving—pushing the boundaries of space innovation.

Fast forward to 2022, when Andy joined SSTL as a Key Account Manager. In just a short time, he has become a key part of our Business Development and Sales team, helping to drive new opportunities for the company.

Reflecting on his journey, Andy shares, "Although I only joined SSTL a few years ago, I’m thoroughly enjoying bringing my extensive sales experience to a company that thrives on innovation. It feels like the perfect match—an incredible opportunity to work with amazing people and cutting-edge projects. And in hindsight I only wish I’d been involved in this industry earlier in my career as I really envy those who are now starting their ‘Space’ journeys."
