Wed, 02 Apr 2025 In 1985—the year SSTL was founded—Jill Danes was shaping young minds in a different way, working as an Area Manager for the Early Learning Centre. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for leadership, she managed retail operations before taking a career break to focus on her family.

Jill’s journey in the space industry began in 2003 when she joined Airbus in Stevenage as a Contracts Officer. Her expertise and dedication saw her rise to Head of Contracts & Commercial – Equipment Business Unit, where she honed her skills in contract management and team leadership. In 2014, Jill brought her wealth of experience to SSTL, where she now leads our Contracts Team with professionalism and a collaborative spirit.
