Wed, 05 Mar 2025 Karen Stevens' journey with Surrey Satellite Technology spans a large part of the entire life of the company! In 1985, when this first photo was taken, Karen was enjoying a teenage holiday in Tenerife while Surrey Satellite was just taking its first steps into the space industry.

After studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Northumbria, Karen joined Surrey Satellite in 1996 as an RF Engineer. Her technical expertise was instrumental in key missions including UoSat-12, TiungSat, and Alsat-1A.
Karen's career evolved as she moved into Project Management and Business Development, showcasing her versatility and leadership abilities.

Today, she serves as our Head of Bids where her combination of technical knowledge and business acumen continues to drive our success.
