The first picture takes us back to 1985, the year SSTL was founded. A young Louise, just 5 years old, had no idea that the company being formed that year would one day become such a significant part of her life. Fast forward to today, and Louise is the Manager of our Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) Department, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of space technology.
Louise’s journey with SSTL began in 2004 when she worked on our groundbreaking Giove-A mission. After a brief hiatus, she returned in 2012 to establish our Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) department here in Guildford. Since 2017, Louise has been leading our AIT team, ensuring that every satellite we build is meticulously assembled, integrated, and tested to meet the highest standards.
Her story is a testament to the passion, dedication, and innovation that define SSTL. From a curious 5-year-old to a leader in the space industry, Louise’s journey mirrors the growth and evolution of SSTL over the past four decades. Thank you, Louise, for being an integral part of our story. Here’s to the next 40 years!
