Wed, 19 Mar 2025 We’re thrilled to share a glimpse into the fascinating career journey of Kuo Wong, our Head of Supply Chain. Pictured left is Kuo in 1985, graduating from what is now Kingston University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering – the same year SSTL was formed! Fast forward to today, pictured right, Kuo leads our Supply Chain with the same passion and dedication that has defined his career.

After graduating Kuo’s journey took him from British Aerospace, working on the legendary Harrier Jump Jet, to Airbus, leading the A350 Wing Electric team. In 2011, Kuo made a significant career pivot, joining SSTL as a Subcontract Manager. Today, he serves as our Head of Supply Chain, bringing his wealth of engineering expertise to ensure our operations run smoothly.

In his own words, “Looking back at my journey from designing flight systems to managing supply chains, I’ve learned that engineering principles can solve problems across any discipline. At SSTL every challenge is an opportunity to innovate, and to demonstrate that success in the supply chain is about building strong relationships, staying adaptable, and always keeping an eye on the bigger picture.”
